This role involves leading our new planned giving program and assisting donors in leaving a legacy at George Fox through various gift planning instruments.

About the Job

The Director of Planned Giving will be responsible for securing gifts through bequests, trusts, gift annuities, real estate, and other assets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of gift planning prospect households
  • Serving as the planned giving expert on campus
  • Building connections throughout the university
  • Seeking continuous growth in expertise

A Day in the Life

The Director of Planned Giving manages donor relationships, secures resources for the University, and contributes to fundraising strategy and programming essential to our mission.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of fundraising experience
  • Experience in donor relationship building and gift planning
  • In-depth knowledge of charitable planned giving options
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to Christian values

Job Information

  • Hours Per Week: 40 hours (1.0 FTE) – Monday through Friday
  • Primary Work Location: Newberg Campus
  • Local and national travel required up to 50% of the time
