Unlocking the power of IRA Assets
Join us and other development professionals as we learn more about gifts of IRA assets in fundraising.
Providence Foundations of Oregon, colleagues: Ali Trinh and Doug Cain will talk about gifts of IRA assets from both the major gift and planned giving perspective. They will cover how to talk with donors about the benefits of giving IRA assets to charity both as current and planned gifts.
Ali has a master’s degree in Public Administration, specializing in nonprofit management from Portland State University. She has been actively engaged in planned giving for 10 years, starting her career in planned giving at the American Cancer Society and is currently the Charitable Estate Senior Director at Providence Foundations of Oregon. Ali enjoys working closely with her major gifts colleagues. She believes the key to most successful planned giving programs is through engaging the entire development team in planned giving.
Entering the profession 20 years ago, Doug joined the Providence Foundations of Oregon in 2014 as a Development/Major Gifts Officer raising funds for cancer research and patient care. To identify creative ways for donors to support the cause, Doug has diligently partnered with the Office of Gift Planning in securing blended gifts from loyal donors in hopes to finish cancer for good. Mission driven and being passionate in connecting individuals who are interested in partnering through philanthropy in order to make our community healthy, well and vibrant, is what motivates him daily.
Registration is required but attendance is free for NWPGRT members $30 for non-members.
