Accepting Gifts of Personal Property
Presenter: Kathy Saitas, Advancement Counsel and Senior Director of Gift Planning at Reed College
While cash and appreciated securities are still king, donors often overlook how they can turn items of tangible personal property into meaningful charitable gifts. This session will look at different types of personal property and discuss tax procedures and requirements for their donations, including the guidance material of the IRS, and the latest changes by the DOT in August 2018.
Registration is required but attendance is free for NWPGRT members $30 for non-members.
