NWPGRT is pleased to introduce Planned Giving 101 Series, a quarterly afternoon session targeted for those newer to planned giving or interested in learning the ropes in this field. Well-seasoned, senior NWPGRT members will present PG 101 topics in an informal and casual setting.
Mark your calendars for these 2017 dates – April 27th, July 27th and October 26th. The sessions will be held 3:30-4:30 p.m. in downtown Portland at U.S. Bank (111 SW 5th Ave., Suite 600)
This session will give attendees an overview of the basic income and transfer tax structures in the US. The information will be presented in a way designed to assist nonprofit development staff, major gift officers, and planned giving officers understand their donors’ tax consequences in making charitable gifts to their organizations.
